Man's Possession of a Billiard's Ball Tied in a Sock Leads to His Arrest
DATE/TIME: March 19, 2022, at approximately 2:44 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 22210 - Manufacture/Possess/Etc. Leaded Cane/Baton/Etc.
LOCATION: US Hwy 95 and Safari Road, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Marcus Flores, 43 years-old, Resident of Bullhead City, AZ
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, March 19, 2022, at approximately 2:44 p.m., deputies came in contact with Marcus Flores during a traffic stop in the area of US Hwy 95 and Safari Road in Needles. During a records check, Flores was found to have a misdemeanor warrant out of Victorville for HS 11550(A) - Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. During an inventory search of the vehicle, Flores was also found to be in violation of PC 22210 - Manufacture/Possess/Etc. Leaded Cane/Baton/Etc., due to being in possession of a billiards ball tied into a sock, which he acknowledged to having as a weapon.
Flores was consequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Flores remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a combined bail amount of $75,000.00, pending a court hearing.
