Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Black adult.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 21, 2022, at approximately 4:27 p.m. in the 45000 block of 16th Street West, in the city of Lancaster.

Detectives have learned deputies from the Lancaster Station responded to the location responded to the location regarding a gun shot victim call. Upon their arrival, they found the victim laying in the front yard of a residence suffering from gun shot wounds to the upper torso.

The victim, a male Black in his early twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.
