TILLMAN COUNTY, OKLAHOMA (March 22, 2022) - The District III Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, an affiliate of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, arrested Khami Hester at his residence in Frederick, Tillman County on March 17, 2022, at approximately 11 a.m.
The investigation began after the District III Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force received a cyber tip from the OSBI. A social media company referred the cyber tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) alleging that Hester had uploaded child sexual assault material on their platform.
Agents sought a search warrant for Hester’s residence in Frederick and executed it with the assistance of the Tillman County Sheriff Office, Frederick Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Altus Police Department.
While serving the search warrant, Hester was taken into custody after a fight where he assaulted an Agent of the Task Force. Hester was then tased by a Tillman County Deputy and taken into custody. The Agent and Hester were medically cleared on scene by Tillman County Emergency Medical Service.
Hester has been booked in and charged in the Tillman County District Court with Distribution of Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, Violation of the Computer Crimes Act and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer. Hester is being held on a $150,000 bond.
