Night utility work on PCH at Trancas Cyn for Caltrans bridge project Fri, 3/25, Sat, 3/26. Watch for vehicles & workers
As part of the Trancas Bridge Replacement Project, there will be nighttime work for utility relocation Friday March 25 and Saturday March 25, 2022, midnight to 6:00 AM on PCH around Trancas Canyon Rd. in Malibu. The work will require intermittent lane closures of the far-right lane and shoulder in both directions of PCH from Guernsey Ave. to Trancas Canyon Rd. Expect lighting, noise, and movement of workers and vehicles in and around the work area. Cyclists, motorists and pedestrians should proceed with caution. Motorists must adhere to the 30 mph temporary speed limit, with signs posted. Fines for speeding are doubled in highway construction or maintenance zones when workers are present under the California Vehicle Code.
Work continues on the project weekdays the week of March 28, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There may be unplanned intermittent lane and shoulder closures on both sides of PCH from Guernsey Ave. to Trancas Canyon Rd. No nighttime work is planned, and no queuing of work vehicles is planned before 7:00 AM.
Updates on this project will be posted on the City’s social media and via traffic alerts, and on the website at https://www.malibucity.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1435.
