McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Matthew Smith charged 36-year-old Miranda Elizabeth Jackson of Morganton, NC with Felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was given an $8,000 secured bond.
On March 24 Deputy Smith stopped Jackson’s vehicle for not having a license plate. Open containers of alcohol were visible, and a search of the vehicle turned up Methamphetamine, Marijuana and the prescription drugs Suboxone and Percocet. Deputies were assisted by Officers of the Marion Police Department.
