Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of a Hispanic man in South Los Angeles. 
 
Deputies from South Los Angeles Station responded to the intersection of Budlong Avenue and 109th Street regarding a pedestrian struck by a vehicle call at 12:12 PM today. 
 
Upon arriving deputies learned the victim had been shot before falling into the path of a vehicle traveling South on Budlong Avenue.  The victim sustained gunshot wounds and traumatic injuries as a result of the traffic collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  
 
Investigators learned the victim had come to the area to look at a car that was for sale. He was met at a car near the intersection by a male Black adult suspect who attempted to rob the victim. Two additional male Black suspects participated in the robbery. One of the suspects drew a handgun and shot the victim, causing him to run into the path of an oncoming car. 
 
All three suspects ran from the scene west on 109th Street out of view.

NARRATIVE:  
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Friday, March 25, 2022, at approximately 12:12 p.m., at the intersection of 109th Street and Budlong Avenue, South Los Angeles.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
