OWI 4th Offense 
On March 25, 2022, a Middleton officer observed a vehicle hit a tree and continue driving on the 6200 block of Middleton Springs Dr. The vehicle was seen veering all over the road.
During the investigation, it was determined that Michael Steele, 68, of Middleton, had consumed alcohol prior to operating the vehicle. He showed signs of impairment and smelled of intoxicants. Officers administered field sobriety tests to Steele and he was ultimately arrested for 4th offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI). Steele was transported to the Dane County Jail where he was booked in on a tentative charge of 4th offense OWI.
