Home Video Surveillance Helps Identify Burglary Suspects; Deputies Recover Stolen Property and Arrest Two Men

INCIDENT: Search warrant for residential burglary
LOCATION: 3800 block of Bayberry Dr., Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Michael Carratello - 36-year-old resident of Chino Hills
Brandon Smith - 36-year-old resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 20, 2022, two suspects were captured on home surveillance video burglarizing a residence in the Carbon Canyon area of Chino Hills. During an investigation by the Chino Hills Police Department, Michael Carratello and Brandon Smith were identified as suspects.
On March 25, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., Detectives and members of the Chino Hills Multi-Enforcement Team conducted a search warrant in the 3800 block of Bayberry Drive in Chino Hills. Carratello and Smith were detained during the service of the search warrant. Property believed to be stolen was recovered from the residence. Carratello and Smith were arrested for residential burglary and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
