Man Crashes a Car and Runs from Scene; He is Later Arrested for Hit and Run and Possession of Stolen Property

LOCATION: Cloverhill Drive/ Elder Creek Lane, Highland
SUSPECT(S): Michael Draper (27 years old), Resident of Loma Linda
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, March 26, 2022, at approximately 12:10 p.m., witnesses reported a traffic collision on Cloverhill Drive and Elder Creek Lane. Witnesses observed a black Honda overturned in the roadway and a white male, later identified as Michael Draper, crawl out of the Honda. Draper ran from the scene and hid in a nearby residence. The Honda was found to be reported stolen out of San Bernardino on March 21, 2022.
Deputies located Draper hiding in a nearby residence. Draper had an active felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, hit and run, and his active warrants.
