Deputies Work Diligently to Solve 2021 Armed Robbery; Three Suspects Located and In Custody

LOCATION: State Highway 18 and Kasota Road, Town of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): 1) Transito Lovo, a 37-year-old resident of Hesperia
2) Jose Mendoza, a 38-year-old resident of Adelanto
3) Rogelio Martinez, a 37-year-old resident of Adelanto
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On December 02, 2021, at approximately 10:28 pm, Deputy Watson responded to the intersection of State Highway 18 and Kasota Road in the Town of Apple Valley in reference to an armed robbery. Upon investigation, Watson learned that a victim was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to leave his workplace. The suspects fled the area in their vehicle with the victim’s mobile phone, forcing the victim to run to a neighboring business for help.
Deputy Rollins assumed this investigation, through which the three suspects were identified as Transito Lovo, Jose Mendoza, and Rogelio Martinez, all of whom are convicted felons.
As of March 24, 2022, all three suspects have been arrested. Although Transito and Jose are in custody at High Desert Detention Center, Rogelio is currently in custody in Los Angeles County for a separate robbery he is suspected of having committed in the City of Pasadena.
