Explosive Devices Located when Deputies Search Man with a No-Bail Warrant
DATE/TIME: March 27, 2022, at approximately 3:34 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 18715(A)(1) - Possession of Explosives
LOCATION: J Street and Hospitality Lane, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): David Ross, 49 years old, Transient of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 27, 2022, at approximately 3:34 p.m., deputies came in contact with David Ross during a pedestrian check in the area of J Street and Hospitality Lane in Needles. During a records check, Ross was found to have a felony, no bail, warrant out of Victorville for PC 3455 - Post Release Supervision. Deputies conducted an inventory search of his belongings and located miscellaneous explosive devices, in violation of PC 18715(A)(1) - Possession of Explosives on a Public Street.
Ross was consequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking, where he remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, pending a court hearing.
