Residents have been contacted by someone posing as a Sheriff’s Office employee with the phone number appearing as it is coming from the Sheriff’s Office administrative line. They are using real names of past and present Sheriff’s Office employees to solicit money. These scammers will attempt to keep you on the phone until money is delivered. AT NO TIME WILL ANY SHERIFF’S OFFICE EMPLOYEE CALL YOU TO REQUEST MONEY OR GIFT CARDS. If this happens, please hang up and notify the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
