Felony OWI 4th Offense
On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 12:35am, a Middleton Police Officer stopped a car driven by 43-year-old Marc Nebel of Middleton for a registration violation.
During the traffic stop, the officer smelled the odor of intoxicants on Nebel. Nebel admitted to drinking prior to driving and had three prior offenses for Operating While Intoxicated on his driving record. Because of his prior OWI record, Nebel’s driver’s license had a restriction, prohibiting him from driving with an alcohol content higher than .02.
Nebel performed field sobriety tests and submitted to a breath test. The result of the test was .07.
Nebel was booked into the Dane County Jail for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Content—4th Offense, a felony. He was also cited for Operating with a Revoked Driver’s License.
