Jackson Police are investigating a midday shooting that occurred on Williams Street near Glendale.
At approximately 11:50 A.M. March 30th, Shotspotter alerted officers to shots fired in the area of Williams. Responding officers located a victim suffering with what seemed to be a minor non-life threatening injury. The victim was seen by Emergency Medical Personnel.
The SRO at Madison Academic was contacted and the school implemented their safety protocols.
Based on the preliminary investigation, Jackson Police do not believe this was a random act of violence. Jackson Police have one subject in custody and the investigation in ongoing.
