Beware of phone scammers posing as members of the Cedar Grove Police Department. An incident occurred where the suspects manipulated the Caller ID to show our number: 973-239-4100.  They advised the resident that her identity had been compromised and that she needed to correct the issue by purchasing gift cards. The resident recognized the scam and contacted us.

Always be cautious when personal information is being requested from unknown persons over the phone.
