The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southwestern Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia... Southeastern Kanawha County in central West Virginia... Southwestern Clay County in north central West Virginia... Northwestern Fayette County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 145 PM EDT.

* At 110 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Montgomery, or 14 miles northwest of Fayetteville, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... Montgomery, Ansted, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Powellton, Handley, Swiss, Indore, Bentree, Kesslers Cross Lanes, Drennan, and Pond Gap.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CLAY, WV ... FAYETTE, WV ... KANAWHA, WV ... NICHOLAS, WV
