Deputies Arrest Suspect After Responding to a Domestic Disturbance Call in Needles



DATE/TIME: March 31, 2022, at approximately 12:46 a.m.

INCIDENT: PC 273.5(a) Felony Spousal Abuse
                     PC 422(A) Criminal Threats
                     PC 262(A)(1) Spousal Rape 

LOCATION: 200 block of Cibola Street, Needles, CA

SUSPECT(S): Mark Weldon, 46-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Thursday, March 31, 2022, at approximately 12:46 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department contacted Mark Weldon during a domestic disturbance call in the 200 block of Cibola Street.  Through investigation, it was determined Weldon was in violation of PC 273.5(A), Felony Spousal Abuse, PC 422(A), Criminal Threats, and PC 262(A)(1), Spousal Rape.

Weldon was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Weldon remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $150,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
