CACHE, Oklahoma (March 31, 2022) – The Cache Police Department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) after police officer was involved in a shooting with an armed robbery suspect.
The incident began on March 30, 2022 before 2 p.m. when Andre Butler, 30, robbed the Hop and Sack convenience store in Cache at knifepoint. Cache police officers were attempting to locate Butler over the next few hours. An officer spotted him near the intersection of 3rd Street and B. Butler refused to listen to commands made by the officer to put down the weapon. The officer fired multiple shots and Butler took off east into a neighborhood. It is unclear if Butler was hit by the gunfire.
Butler is still on the loose. He is described as a Black male, 6’2”, 160 pounds with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue and black plaid pants with no shirt. He is possibly armed with a knife.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are working together with the OSBI to locate Butler including: the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, Lawton Police Department, Comanche Nation Police Department, Refuge Officers, Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Chattanooga Police Department and the Cache Police Department.
