Suspect: Krystina Pye, 35-year-old female, resident of Rialto
On Saturday, March 27, 2022, at approximately 12:29 a.m., the Rialto Police Department Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call regarding a person stabbed at a residence in the 1800 Block of N. Sage Ave. Officers arrived and located a single female victim identified as Sasha Pye, unresponsive and suffering from several stab wounds. Sasha Pye’s sister, Krystina Pye, was located at the scene and detained by officers. Sasha Pye was transported to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she remained in critical condition for several days. Krystina Pye was taken into custody and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Penal Code 664/187 – Attempt Murder with bail set at $1,000,000.
On March 31, 2022, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Sasha Pye died as a result of her injuries. Homicide Detectives have been in communication with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office and updated charges are pending.
