INCIDENT: Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 2300 block of Norte Vista Drive, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Jeffery Makarounas, 19-year-old resident of Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): 29-year-old male resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Thursday, March 31, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at a residence in Chino Hills. Deputies located the victim, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds, and rendered immediate medical aid to preserve life. Chino Valley Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and continued life saving measures. The vicitm was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
Deputies identified and located the suspect, Jeffery Makarounas, at the scene. The incident was an isolated event and there are no outstanding suspects. Makarounas was arrested for attempted murder and transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
