Arrest Made for 4th Offense OWI
On April 2, 2022 at about 1:10 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in which the registered owner showed a revoked driving status. The operator was identified as the registered owner, Benjamin Hedgecock who had the revoked driving status with three prior OWI convictions. While speaking to Hedgecock, the officer could smell the odor of intoxicants and drug paraphernalia was seen in plain view in the interior of the car. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered and signs of impairment were seen. He was arrested for OWI and he submitted to an evidentiary blood test. Hedgecock remains in custody at the Rock County Jail pending his court appearance.
