Incident Summary
On April 3, 2022, at 9:20 AM, the Petaluma Police Department received a report from Petaluma City Schools of an alarm activation at McDowell Elementary School. The reporting party told dispatch there was a subject inside a classroom and provided a description. Officers arrived on scene and detained Edgar Solorio without incident. Solorio was in possession of the stolen property, burglary tools, drug paraphernalia, and controlled substances (suspected methamphetamine).
A representative from Petaluma City Schools took custody of the stolen property and resecured the school. Solorio was transported to the Sonoma County Jail and booked for burglary (459 PC), possession of burglary tools (466 PC), possession of drug paraphernalia (11364(a) H&S), and possession of a controlled substance (11377(a) H&S).
