INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Mojave Drive & Condor Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): N/A
VICTIM(S): 33-year-old female, resident of Victorville (pending next of kin notification)
SUMMARY: On Monday, April 4, 2022, at 07:30 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department along with rescue personnel from Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision near the intersection of Mojave Drive and Condor Road, in the city of Victorville. The pedestrian suffered a head injury at the scene and was transported to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased. .
Deputies with the Victorville Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators learned the pedestrian was struck in the east bound lanes of Mojave Drive, just east of Condor Road. The driver involved remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
All east bound lanes of Mojave Drive were temporarily closed while deputies conducted their investigation, and re-opened shortly after.
The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this collision or anyone who may have been a witness is asked to contact Deputy B. Jarzombek at the Victorville Police Station.
