We want to remind everyone that we need you all to help us be the eyes and ears of the community and to make a report immediately if you see something suspicious. You can call 9-1-1 if it is emergent and if it is a non-emergent issue, you can call the non-emergency number at (973)539-0777 and pres "0" for our dispatcher.
Please be mindful that responding to suspicious circumstances is our police department's responsibility and at no time should anyone put themselves in harm's way. Making a phone call and being a good observer is what's most helpful to our responding officers so they can investigate efficiently. When gathering information, please remain in the safest location possible while getting descriptive information of the circumstances, persons involved, and possible vehicles.
