Trio of Suspects Distract Shopper and Steal a Wallet; One Suspect Arrested

SUSPECT(S): Angela Montana Bolanos, 42-year-old resident of Los Angeles
VICTIM(S): 46-year-old female resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Thursday, March 31, 2022, deputies responded to Costco located in Chino Hills regarding a theft in progress. Costco loss prevention officers detained a Hispanic female identified as Angela Montana Bolanos. Bolanos and two unidentified Hispanic male adults distracted the victim in the freezer section while one of the male suspects reached into the victim's purse, which was located in the shopping cart, and took the wallet. Montana was arrested and the two male suspects involved in the theft are still outstanding.
It is believed Bolanos and the male suspects work together and are related to numerous wallet thefts from retail locations throughout Southern California.
Bolanos was arrested for grand theft and conspiracy, and transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
