Weather forecasters are predicting an extreme heat advisory with very hot temperatures on Thursday and Friday this week. Some reminders to help keep you safe:

* Never leave a child or pet in a vehicle;

* Fire danger is imminent - please use caution if you must use outdoor equipment such as gardening equipment

* Avoid exercising in the heat of the day

* Drink plenty of water
