This Saturday, April 9th, the Kensington Police Department, El Cerrito Kensington Fire Department, and the Contra Costa County Community Warning System (CWS) will be conducting an evacuation drill for part of the Kensington Community.  The drill will begin at approximately 9:00 am and include an evacuation alert message for residents in Zone-ECK-E008 and a second alert message at approximately 9:15 am for residents in Zone-ECK-E007 instructing residents to shelter in place. Residents in El Cerrito, Berkeley and other zones in Kensington may receive these alerts but they are not required to participate in the drill. In the event of an actual emergency, evacuation orders will be issued via the CWS system with instructions of where to go.
