Social Media Threat 
After receiving information regarding a social media threat this afternoon directed towards East Rutherford High School, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, Rutherford County Schools, and other law enforcement angencies began conducting an investigation.
Through this investigation, investigators were able to identify the person who posted the threat to social media and confirm that it was a hoax.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office will continue to investigate this incident to insure the safety of all students and staff in our schools. Safety is, and always will be, the top priority of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office and Rutherford County Schools.
