High Wind Warning until 09:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, northwest winds 30 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. For the Blowing Dust Advisory, visibility between one quarter mile and one mile in blowing dust.

* WHERE...Butler, Seward, Lancaster, Saline, Jefferson and Gage Counties.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Use extreme caution when driving by agricultural fields which may provide a source for blowing dust. Visibility may be highly variable. Use caution and be on the lookout for rapidly changing conditions.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BUTLER ... SEWARD ... LANCASTER ... SALINE ... JEFFERSON ... GAGE

Instructions:

Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. Remember, Pull Aside, Stay Alive. People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
