**UPDATE** #LASD Homicide Bureau Responded to a Shooting Death Investigation, 8900 Block of S. Maie Avenue, #LosAngeles
Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a Black man in unincorporated Los Angeles.
Deputies from Century Station responded to the 8900 block of Maie Avenue regarding a gunshot victim call at 5:25 PM today. Upon arriving they discovered the victim lying unresponsive in the Colonel Leo H Washington Park suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators learned the victim had been shot while in the street by unknown persons and ran into the park where he collapsed.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time. The murder weapon remains outstanding.
This shooting is being investigated as gang related.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Thursday, April 07, 2022, at approximately 5:50 p.m., at the 8900 Block of S. Maie Avenue, Los Angeles.
The male adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
