On Saturday, April 9, 2022 at approximately 1930 hours, the Readington Township Police stopped Janish Kothari (32) out of Jersey City, for driving carelessly on Pleasant Run Rd. While speaking to the driver, the officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle.  Kothari failed the officers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.  Kothari was issued a summons for DWI, Careless Driving and Failure to Maintain Lane. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
