Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 10 AM to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands and Sandia, Manzano and Gallinas Mountains below any snowpack, Northeast and East Central Plains, Middle Rio Grande Valley. Critical conditions are expected to develop by midday today and persist through mid evening. Stronger and possibly damaging winds are possible Tuesday with critical conditions expected along and east of the Middle Rio Grande Valley from midmorning through midevening Tuesday. Critical conditions redevelop Wednesday morning and continue through the evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 50 mph this afternoon. Southwest to west 30 to 45 mph with gusts to 65 mph Tuesday. Northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph Wednesday afternoon.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Ranging from around 9 to 13 percent this afternoon, 10 to 15 percent Tuesday and 4 to 8 percent Wednesday.

* IMPACTS....Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... NORTHEAST PLAINS ... MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY ... SANDIA MANZANO AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS ... EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
