INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 3100 block of Otto Street, Muscoy
SUSPECT(S): Rito Hernandez, 33-year-old resident of Muscoy
VICTIM(S): Reynalda Madriz, 62-year-old resident of Muscoy
SUMMARY: On Sunday, April 10, 2022, deputies from Sheriff’s Central Station responded to the 3100 block of Otto Street for a reported stabbing. When deputies arrived, they located the suspect, Rito Hernandez, in front of the residence suffering from self-inflicted knife wounds. Near the suspect, they located the victim who was also suffering from stab wounds. It was learned Hernandez, who was known to the victim, had stabbed the victim before injuring himself. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators from Sheriff’ Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded and are conducting the investigation.
Hernandez was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and will be booked into custody, upon his release, for PC 187-Murder.
