Vigo County Jail inmate death investigation 
On April 10, 2022, at approximately 10:20am, an inmate at the Vigo County Jail was found unresponsive in his cell. Medical personnel was called to the scene, and CPR was administered. The male (identified as Danny Hicks, 62yrs of age) was later pronounced deceased. Vigo County Detectives were called in for further investigation. At this time there appears to be no foul play involved. An autopsy is being conducted today at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Hicks and his family.
