PC 29800(A)(1)- Felon in possession of a firearm
PC 30305(A)(1)- Felon in possession of ammunition.
LOCATION: 34000 block of Acacia Avenue, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Johnny Rodriguez, 56-year-old resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, April 8, 2022, Deputy Ziemer conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 for a vehicle code violation and contacted the driver, Johnny Rodriguez. Rodriguez was found to be on parole and a parole search of Rodriguez was conducted. Ziemer located a loaded handgun magazine and suspected methamphetamine inside of Rodriguez' pockets. A loaded ghost gun and an additional magazine were located inside the vehicle. Rodriguez is a convicted felon and is prohibited to possess firearms or ammunition.
Rodriguez was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance while armed, felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited from owning ammunition, and violation of parole.
