INCIDENT: Shooting at Victor Valley Mall
LOCATION: Victorville, CA
VICTIM: 9-year-old, female juvenile
SUSPECT: Unknown
SUMMARY:
On April 12, 2022, at about 6:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting at the Victor Valley Mall. A nine-year-old female juvenile was struck and transported to a hospital in stable condition. Deputies evacuated and searched the mall and no additional suspects were located.
The suspect fled the scene and deputies are currently investigating leads. This appears to be an isolated incident and not considered an active shooter event. The mall will remain closed for the remainder of the evening. More information will be available in a press release tomorrow morning.
