Flood Warning until 07:30PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Christian, Douglas, Ozark, Stone, Taney, Webster and Wright.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 202 PM CDT, Doppler radar rainfall estimates indicated that between 2 and 3 inches of rain fell earlier today. This has led to flooding of low water crossings along Hunter Creek and Cowskin Creek near Ava. - This includes the following low water crossings... Little Beaver Creek at Old Cheese Plant Road, Bull Creek at Center Road, James River at Bell Ford Road, Beaver Creek at County Road 524 and Little Beaver Creek at County Road 447. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Branson, Marshfield, Ava, Kimberling City, Forsyth, Hollister, Rogersville and Silver Dollar City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
