SUSPECT(S): Jonn Post, 48-year-old resident of Yucaipa

SUMMARY: On Monday, April 11, 2022, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Yucaipa Station deputies were dispatched to investigate a residential burglary in the 35300 block of Fir Avenue. During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect entered the residence while the victim was asleep inside. The suspect stole the victim’s money and vehicle keys. The suspect then stole her vehicle from inside of her garage and fled the area.
On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Perris Station located the victim’s stolen vehicle. They were involved in a high-speed pursuit and arrested the driver of the stolen vehicle, Jonn Post, a resident of Yucaipa. Deputy A. Alcala and Detective M. Madril responded to Southwest Detention Center to follow-up on the investigation. Post was identified as the suspect who burglarized the victim’s residence and stole her vehicle.
Alcala obtained a $125,000 arrest warrant for Post. He will be released to the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department upon his release from Riverside County jail.
