    Calaveras County Cooperators Pre-Season Fire Meeting
Calaveras County, unfortunately, is no stranger to large complex fires.  With significantly low rainfall and the majority of California's vegetation abnormally dry, the need to plan earlier in the year for the possibility of an active fire season is necessary and already underway.
On April 13, 2022, a pre-season cooperators meeting was held at the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Emergency Operations Center.  The meeting was organized by Cal-Fire supervisors and well attended by a multitude of local, state, and federal agencies that fires would impact.  Some of the topics covered were mutual aid, resource availability, evacuation, repopulation procedures, and aircraft availability.
