* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi and northeast Mississippi, including the following counties, in North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Prentiss and Tippah. In northeast Mississippi, Union.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 658 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Corinth, Booneville, New Albany, Holly Springs, Ripley, Wall Doxey State Park, John W Kyle State Park, Lamar, Blue Mountain, Ecru, Jumpertown, Glen, Snow Lake Shores, Gravestown, Keownville, Etta, Bethlehem, Canaan, Pinedale and New Harmony. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
