INCIDENT: Penal Code 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: 25717 Baseline St., Highland (ARCO AMPM)
SUSPECT(S): Vernon Lorenzo Hull, 29-year-old resident of Highland, CA
VICTIM(S): ARCO AMPM Employees
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at approximately 5:00a.m., suspect Vernon Hull attempted to steal items from the ARCO AMPM Mini-Mart at 25717 Baseline St., in Highland. A store security guard confronted Hull and tried to stop him. Hull assaulted the security guard and tried to flee. The security guard held Hull down as other employees called 911.
Deputies from the Highland Station arrived and found the security guard still struggling with Hull. When they attempted to take Hull into custody, a use of force occurred. Hull was ultimately arrested for robbery and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. At the time of this incident, he was wanted for an unrelated narcotics charge and there was an active warrant in the system for his arrest.
