April 05, 2022

• Burglary (Commercial):

1408 Huntington Drive (Las Palmas Restaurant). Between 04/02/22 8:00 pm and 04/05/22 at 8:00 am suspect(s) unknown shattered the front window to the location and ransacked the business. Loss was an unknown amount of U.S. currency left in the register. No video surveillance available.

• Grand Theft:

1243 Huntington Drive (AT & T).  On 04/05/22 at 3:00 pm three unknown Suspect(s) described as middle eastern men, entered the location. Suspect #1 contacted the sales associate as the other 2 suspects went to the iPhone display and unlocked 2 phones from the display and exited the store without paying for the items. Suspect #1 proceeded to exit the location and all three left in an unknown direction. Loss was approximately $1,700. Surveillance video available.

• Grand Theft:

1413 Huntington Drive (The Huntington). On 04/05/22 at 9:45 am suspect unknown described as a male Hispanic adult 6’02, 300 lbs driving a white Ford F150 truck stole two water back flow units from the south west portion of the location. Loss was approximately $2,000. Surveillance video available.

• Grand Theft:

1800 Highland Avenue (Prolacta Bioscience). On 04/05/22 between 1:00 pm and 7:20 pm suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter to the victims parked vehicle, a gray 2007 Honda Accord. Loss was approximately $1,200. No surveillance video available.

• Grand Theft:

1500 Duarte Road (City of Hope). On 04/05/22 at 3:25 am suspect unknown wearing dark clothing riding a bicycle stole a “Tuuci” umbrella. Loss was approximately $2,000. Surveillance video available.

• Grand theft:

1060 Huntington Drive (Denny’s). On 04/07/22 between 8:00 am and 9:30 am suspect(s) unknown stole the victims “Guess” backpack from her unlocked vehicle a black 2007 black Mercedes. Loss was approximately $400. No surveillance video available.
 
April 08, 2022

• Grand Theft Auto:

800 block of Miltonwood Avenue. Between 04/07/22 3:00 pm and 04/08/22 7:30 am suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s parked vehicle a grey 2012 Kia Sportage LIC 6SOJ592. Vehicle outstanding, no video surveillance. Vehicle recovered by LAPD – Newton division.

• Burglary (Vehicle):

1300 Block of Meadow Lane. On 04/09/22 between 8:30 am and 10:00 am suspect(s) unknown shattered the rear driver side window to the victims 2018 black Jeep and stole the victims’ gym bag and snowboarding jacket. Loss was approximately $700. No video surveillance available.

• Burglary (Vehicle):

1700 Block of Flower Avenue. On 04/09/22 at 1:00 pm two unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear driver window to the victim’s vehicle and stole miscellaneous tools. Loss was approximately $700. Video surveillance available.
 
CRIME PREVENTION TIPS
How to help prevent a Carjacking:

• Keep doors locked and windows shut.
• Don't stop to assist a disabled motorist. Instead, contact a service station or police.
• When stopped at a light, leave enough room between you and the car in front of you in case you have to drive away.
• Be suspicious of anyone approaching the car with fliers, asking for change or directions. Be ready to leave carefully.
• If you think you are being followed, drive to an area with lots of lights and people. If possible, drive to the nearest law enforcement office.
