On Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 3:41 PM, Corcoran Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Reagan Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival Officers located a Hispanic male victim who had been shot multiple times to his head, torso, and legs. The victim was flown to a local area hospital to be treated for his injuries. UPDATED INFORMATION: Corcoran Police Department Detectives began investigating this incident. During this investigation, Detectives obtained statements and additional items of evidence. The investigation revealed that William Dakota Cole was a suspect in this shooting. William is currently in custody at the Kings County Jail. On April 14, 2022, Detectives charged William with attempted murder, assault with a firearm, and participating in a criminal street gang. William is currently being held without bail for the above listed charges. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone who may have information about this crime is encouraged to contact Detective S.
