Incident Summary:
On April 14, 2022, at 8:16 pm, Petaluma Police Department officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Water Street on report of a fight with gun shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located blood evidence indicating there were one or more injured persons. Witnesses confirmed a group of four or more persons were involved in a fight and at least one gun shot was heard.
At approximately 8:43 pm, two victims arrived at Petaluma Valley Hospital, one with a gunshot wound and the other with a head injury. Neither injury was determined to be life threatening. The suspects have not been identified and the motive for the fight has yet to be determined. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
