DEA Takeback Day 4/30/2022


On Saturday April 30, the Barrington Police Department will once again participate in the DEA National #TakeBackDay. From 10:00am to 2:00pm, we will have an officer at Rite Aid at 501 Clements Bridge Rd, ready for you to turn over your unwanted medications. This is the day to dispose of your unused, unwanted, and expired medicine. The program is anonymous and all efforts will be made to protect the anonymity of individuals disposing of medications. Individuals may dispose of medications either in its original container or directly into the drug disposal box. Individuals are encouraged to remove any labels that contain any personal identifying information. Liquid products should remain tightly sealed in their original container. Syringes and other sharp instruments will NOT be accepted. Individuals can freely and independently surrender to police non-pharmaceutical, illicit drugs with no questions.
