Full Notification

The Sleepy Eye Police Department would like to notify the community of a report of suspicious activity received today, April 15, 2022, that occurred in the north east area of the community. The department took a report of an unknown male entering an occupied residence at approximately 3 p.m. Two juveniles in the residence stated they witnessed a male in the lower level of the residence while they were inside. The juveniles reported leaving the residence and seeing the male run through the house, out to the garage and leave the residence. They reported him to be tall, skinny male, in approximately his 20's, with a black hoodie pulled up over his head, dark pants, and skin color that appeared dark.
The male did not take anything from the residence or threaten or harm the occupants in anyway. The Sleepy Eye Police Department does not believe there is a threat to the community at this time. The police department will be providing extra patrol in the area. We would also like to remind you to lock your doors on your cars and residences and call the police department if you observe suspicious activity and 911 if it is urgent or an emergency.
