DWI Arrest
On Saturday, April 16, 2022 at approximately 2015 hours, the Readington Township Police observed Charlie Ambrose Jr. (56) out of Whitehouse Station driving carelessly of Route 22. The officer stopped Ambrose near the Kings Parking Lot and smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Ambrose failed the offficers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Ambrose was issued a summons for DWI, Refusal to Submit to Breath Test, Careless Driving, Failure to Stop, Failure to Maintain Lane and Failure to Use Proper Turn Signal. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
