I have been receiving inquiries about this season’s opening of the Town-owned Western Turnpike Golf Course. While I am not a golfer, I know that there are many residents who are passionate golfers and eager to get out on the course. Unfortunately, the rain deluge a week ago, and drizzly weather since, requires sunny weather for drying out the course. And today’s forecast of rain, and maybe even 1-3 inches of snow overnight, will not help. Please continue to check the course’s website for opening plans for the golf course and driving range, and remember that weather here is fickle and conditions could rapidly improve with a little more sun and wind.
Thank you for staying safe and calm.
