Vandal Causes More than $500 in Damage to Needles Skate Park

DATE/TIME:  Between April 17, 2022, 7:00 p.m. and April 18, 2022 10:00 a.m.

INCIDENT: Penal Code 594 - Vandalism Over $500

LOCATION: Needles Skate Park - 1500 Flip Mendez Pkwy, Needles, CA

SUSPECT(S): Unknown

VICTIM(S): City of Needles, CA


SUMMARY: On April 18, 2021, at approximately 10:13 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department, responded to Duke Watkins Park for a report of vandalism. An unknown suspect or suspects used a marking device to cause damage to the skatepark bathroom. The vandalism occurred at an unknown time between Friday, April 15 and the morning of Monday, April 18, 2022. The estimated cost to repair the damage is estimated to be over $500.00.
