West Hollywood City Council recognizes WeHo Deputies Livesaving Efforts

12 year old Jordan Ramirez performs "Thank You For Your Service" walks in support of first responders. He was honored the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station over the last couple years. The West Hollywood City Council recognized Jordan's support with a proclamation.

Deputies Danny Martinez and Yesenia Olvera responded to an emergency call regarding a “baby not breathing” at a location in West Hollywood. They responded to the location “Code-3” (red lights and siren). When they arrived at the location, they immediately started life saving efforts on a one year old baby boy. The baby boy was choking and having extreme difficulty breathing. As the Deputies were performing life-saving efforts, they heard the Fire Department arrive (sirens). They ran out of the residence with the baby boy, continuing life saving measures, in an effort to get the baby boy to Fire personnel as soon as possible. As Deputy Martinez was handing the baby boy to one of the Fire personnel, the item the baby boy was choking on was dislodged and the baby boy began breathing normally. If it were not for the amazing life saving efforts of Deputies Martinez and Olvera, this incident may have had a tragic and sad ending, which, thankfully, it did not. They were recognized for their lifesaving efforts by the West Hollywood City Council this evening.
